Grape variety: Nebbiolo al 100%, the subvarietes
"Michet" - "Lampia" - "Rosé".
Cultivation system: Guyot.
Producing area: Castiglione Falletto, Barolo,
La Morra, Serralunga D’Alba, Monforte, Roddi.(Piedmont)
Harvest time: October.
Yield Max: 80 quintals grapes for hectare.
Yeld grape wine: 70% at first racking, 65%
after the aging period.
Soil: Clay and limestone.
Color: Garnet red with orange highlights characteristics
that become more pronounced with age.
Odour: Characteristic bouquet, ethereal, pleasant
and intense.
Taste: Dry, full, robust, austere but velvety
and harmonious.
Alcohol content: 13,5% vol.
Total acidity:5 gr. per thousand.
Aging:three years, two of which in oak casks
and bottled one.
Food matches: Braised and stewed meats, red
meat and game in general. Cheese and bourguignone.
Recommended serving temperature:18° – 22° C.
Storage: Barolo, depending on the vintage,
can be stored for several decades and still to get the right quality is recommended
to keep the bottles horizontally, in a dark, dry place at room temperature.
